Save your old unwearable uniforms!
In collaboration with Woollahra Council, GRPS is now part of an amazing new initiative to divert textiles from landfill.
WornUp is a textile rescue programme working with schools to keep as many unwearable uniforms out of landfill as possible. They take unwearable uniforms and turn them into a raw material that can be used to make new products like school tables and dog bed inserts!
Joining WornUp means we can prevent approximately 100kg of uniform waste from entering local landfill every year! That’s something to get excited about.
How can you help?
Bring in any unwearable uniforms (mysterious stains that don’t come out, rips and tears from playground adventures) and deposit leave them in the Worn Up Pod near the Uniform Shop.
Please don't donate the following to the pod:
- uniforms that can be resold at the Uniform Shop as they still have some life left in them
- school bags
- shoes
- underwear
- any non-school uniform garments
Thanks for your cooperation!
