In NSW primary schools, the study of a language is optional.
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.
Currently we do not offer a second language, however in the parent and carer survey held by the School Council in 2021, the school community expressed strong interest in the extracurricular program which can include sport, music, art & craft or cultural activities. We are currently working hand-in-hand to inject some exciting new offerings into this program in 2022.
